This Depression Era Fostoria Pink on Crystal elegant glass Low Sherbet is on the hard to find Waterfall Stem #5099. The panel optic design in the clear pink bowl of the sherbet reflects the light at sparkling angles not easily captured in photographs. The real beauty of these elegant goblets is in the tiered effect of the crystal stem numbered blank 5099. Like the tiers of a romantic fountain, the ribbed stem has three levels that are irresistible to the touch, and have the added benefit of providing an easy finger hold for elegant entertaining. When flicked, the ringing sound of the glass is like a delicate chime.
This beautiful goblet measures 4-1/4 inches tall. Perched on a 2-3/4 inch diameter foot, the bowl of the sherbet is 4-1/8 inches in diameter at the rim.
This unmarked pattern was made by Fostoria from 1928 to 1940.
There is a tiny bubble in the glass that shows as a dark spot in the photos, but is barely noticeable in reality. There are no other condition issues. The pink bowl is a pale shade, most closely matching the first photo. The pink looks darker in several of the photos than it really is.
