Offered for your consideration is a pretty Bone China teacup and saucer adorned with yellow Primrose flowers by Tuscan, England. The pattern is numbered D1122, and features a ring of yellow primroses accented with tiny blue flowers and trailing greenery. A dot of red enamel is at the center of each yellow blossom. A background of the palest pastel green is above the flower garland, contrasting with the snow white ground below. The rim of both the cup and saucer have a scalloped border design of fine, vertical red lines topped by a ring of tiny red dots. The edges are gold-trimmed and there is a band of gold inside the top of the dainty teacup.The foot has a double band of gold and the handle is gilded as well.
The teacup is 3-3/8 inches in diameter and just shy of 2-7/8 inches tall; the foot of the cup is 1-7/8 inches in diameter. The saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter.
Made by Tuscan between 1947 and 1970, the backstamp is the green underglaze winged crown with the words "Tuscan Fine English Bone China" and "Made in England." There is also a pattern number D1122.
Other than minor wear on the gold rim consistent with use, there are no condition issues.
