This exquisite late 1800s Delinieres & Co. Limoges hand painted two-handled plate features a Victorian motif of a bouquet of tendrils of dainty blue flowers with a few pink blossoms and greenery as romantic accents. The wide rim is a pale green, and the inner rim has a delicate narrow ribbon of a double gold band with detailed scrolls framed between the lines of gold. The open handles and outer edge are trimmed in gold, while the center of the plate is pristine white.
This serving plate bears Delinieres' underglaze green backstamp of "D&Co FRANCE." This mark was used between 1879 and 1900.
This lovely porcelain plate has an octagon shape, designed as a square with angled corners, and measures 9-13/16 inches across, 10-3/4 inches with the handles.
The colors are still clear with only minor wear, and wear in the gold edging is also minimal. There are some tiny porcelain imperfections in the form of bumps along the backside rim. There are no other condition issues.
