Offered for your consideration is this black glass soda bottle from Mission Dry Sparkling circa 1929. The Mission Dry Corporation grew out of the California Crushed Fruit Company in Los Angeles producing some of America's first soft drinks. Starting during Prohibition with Sparkling Orange, Mission Dry bottled their soft drinks in this unique black glass bottle.
This 12-ounce bottle measures 9-1/2 inches tall with a 2-1/2 inch diameter base, tapering to a 1-inch diameter top.
The original paper labels are gone, leaving a solid black, opaque glass with no decoration.
There are a few minor surface scratches, and no chips or cracks.
The bottle is embossed “Mission Dry Sparkling” on the bottom, with a small embossed 64 and a triangle mark on the side at the base.
