From Royal Adderley, part of the Ridgway Group of Fine Bone China from England, here is their Golden Yellow #41632 Teacup and Saucer decorated with shiny Gold Ferns. A single pink wild rose blossom on a stem with green leaves decorates the inside rim of the teacup. The rose stem is backed by a delicate green fern that echoes the outer design. A 1-1/4 inch wide white rim overlaid with intricately detailed gold ferns tops the cup and the outer rim of the saucer. A narrow gold line separates the white band from the golden yellow portion on the lower half of the cup and around the cup well of the saucer. The scalloped rims of both pieces, as well as the handle, foot, and cup ring of the saucer are trimmed in gold.
The teacup measures 3-1/8 inches in diameter and 3-inches tall. The scalloped saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter.
The Royal Adderley trademark was used by Ridgway Potteries from around 1962 until Ridgway was acquired by Royal Doulton in 1964. The back stamp bears the Adderley Crown with “Ridgway Potteries Ltd. arched above and “!789” directly beneath the Crown. This is followed by “Royal Adderley/ Fine Bone China/ England.” The handwritten pattern number “41632 D” is only on the cup.
There are a few minor, small surface scratches, but I find no other damage.
