Here is the hard to find Parrot or Sylvan pattern Depression Glass Footed Cone-Shaped Sherbet by Federal in amber. Two parrots, the one on the left slightly larger than the other, perch together on a branch beneath the tops of swaying palm trees. The molded pattern is on two opposite sides of the eight-paneled sherbet. The wide panels alternate with narrower panels.
This sherbet is 3-inches tall and 4-inches in diameter at the rim, narrowing to perch on a 2-3/8 inch round foot.
The Sylvan pattern, known by collectors as Parrot, was made by Federal for only two years, 1931 and 1932. There is no mark.
There is a nick, slightly larger than a pinhead, on the top of the rim at one corner. Other than the expected flaws characteristic of Depression Era Glass, such as bubbles, mold seam roughness, or other irregularities, there is no other damage.
