Duncan & Miller Canterbury #115 Pink Opalescent Glass Bowl circa 1940s - image 1 of 10

This lovely Pink Opalescent Bowl is in the Canterbury pattern, #115, made by Duncan & Miller Glass. Sometimes called a gardenia bowl, the rounded edges that are folded in create a perfect frame for a floating flower. The ground and polished foot of the bowl echoes the design of a six-petaled flower. Duncan called this opalescent pink color "Cranberry."

This smaller bowl measures 7-1/2 inches in diameter across the points and 6-1/2 inches across the folded edges. It is 1-2/4 inches deep.

Canterbury in pink opalescent was manufactured by Duncan and Miller from 1937 through the 1950's. There is no mark.

Other than the occasional tiny bubble in the glass, typical of this era, there are no condition issues.
