Pretty yellow primroses dance around this Royal Albert Bone China Prudence Demitasse Cup and Saucer from the Dainty Dina Series. The rayed and scalloped Shelley shape cup and saucer are both decorated with bunches of yellow primrose flowers backed by green leaves. There is one upright bouquet for each of the six panels around the cup and around the saucer, each just touching the next for a continuous design. The scalloped rims, as well as the foot and handle of the cup, are all trimmed in gold.
The diminutive cup is just over 3-inches in diameter, 3-3/4 with the handle, and 2-1/2 inches tall. The foot of the cup is 1-1/4 inches in diameter. The matching saucer is just under 5-inches in diameter.
This series was made by Royal Albert China from 1966 into the 1970s.
The back stamp is a color miniature of the Primrose motif followed by "Royal Albert" in brown, "Bone China England" in green, “Dainty Dina Series" in a concave semicircle, and finished with the name “Prudence.”
There are a few stray darkened utensil marks around the bottom of the cup. Any wear on the gold is truly minimal, and there are no other condition issues.
