These eight-sided mid-century Hazel Atlas glass salt and pepper shakers have no other decoration than the rich purple color of Moroccan Amethyst. The inclusive pattern was named for the popular deep purple Moroccan Amethyst color and includes several different shapes of Hazel-Atlas glassware. These shakers are a match to the Octagon shaped plates and other items I have listed. The shakers are tapered and resemble a tall pyramid.
Each shaker measures 3-inches tall, 2-1/2 without the top, and 1-1/2 inches in diameter across the bottom. The opening is 1/2-inch in diameter.
Made by Hazel-Atlas during the 1960s, the signature HA Hazel-Atlas monogram mark is molded into the bottom of the shakers. One of these is very clear, the other is not very distinct.
The metal tops are heavy for their size, dulled with age, and show minor damage to the holes. The glass of the shakers has a few manufacturing dimples and imperfections, but there is no damage to the glass shakers.
