Imperial's Ruby Red Glass Footed Creamer and Sugar is stunning here in the Pillar Flute pattern. As the name implies, Pillar Optic is made up of 1/2-inch panels that are rounded on the outside like pillars. The tops of the panels form a scalloped rim. Both the creamer and the open sugar have three toes or feet that raise them off the table. Imperial’s ruby color is a rich, deep red with hints of amberina showing subtle yellow through the bottom.
The open sugar is 3-inches tall and 3-1/2 inches in diameter, 5-inches across the handles. The matching creamer is 3-inches tall, 3-1/4 at the spout, and 3-1/2 inches in diameter, 4-3/4 inches across the handle and spout. Both have three toes that are about 3/4-inches high.
This elegant glass pattern was made by Imperial from the early 1930s to 1955. There is no mark.
There is a bubble in one of the pillars of the sugar, and there are no other condition issues.
