Beautiful roses in shades of autumn decorate this Royal Albert Bone China Lenora Teacup and Saucer. On pure white Bone China, the design consists of bouquets of roses in golden yellow, silvery white, and burnt orange. The roses blend well together with the aid of the accompanying rosebuds and foliage in sepia brown and soft gray-green. A large bouquet decorates the front of the cup with a matching arrangement on the back. A smaller matching spray is opposite the handle with another on the inside rim of the cup. The matching saucer has three large rose arrangements alternating with three of the smaller nosegays. Both the cup and the scalloped saucer are lavishly trimmed with 22K brushed gold around the fluted rims, and the teacup foot and handle are also gold-lined.
This Montrose shape cup is 2-3/4 inches tall on a 1-7/8 inch diameter foot. The handle is about another 1/4 inch above the rim. It is 3-1/2 inches in diameter with another inch for the handle. The matching saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter and about 1-inch deep.
Royal Albert China produced this pattern from 1962 to the 1970s.
The back stamp is a color miniature of the rose motif followed by “Lenora” in deep pink, and ”Royal Albert Bone China England" in gray-green.
There are a few tiny porcelain bumps on the back of the saucer and on the side of the handle of the cup. There are surface scratches consistent with normal use, but there are no other condition issues.
