These quality crystal clear glass Liberty Bell Eagle Stem Wine Goblets by Libbey were likely made in honor of America’s Bicentennial. In crystal clear glass, the bell-shaped cup of the goblet has a narrow rolled rim and is perched atop a detailed proud eagle stem. The three-dimensional texture of this regal bird is outstanding. With his head turned toward the right, the beak and feathers at the back of the head end in sharp points. From the noble eyes, down over the diamond-shaped breast feathers and long wings folded at his back, to his powerful talons resting on a pedestal, every detail can be clearly felt in textured relief.
Each goblet measures 6-3/8 inches tall and the bell of the goblet is about 2-1/2 inches deep. Each is 3-1/4 inches in diameter at the rim, while the foot is 2-7/8 inches.
Made by Libbey circa 1973, there is no mark.
Other than a smooth bump at the rolled rim, done in production, there are no condition issues.
