This irresistible doll-like Anthropomorphic Covered Relish Dish is Napco #K2595. Depicting the head of a sweet, wide-eyed little girl, the jar is glazed in white with rust-brown hair. The adorable face has eyes opened wide and painted in black with a trio of eyelashes. The little snub-nose is in the mold, and a puckered red mouth is painted beneath. A blush covers her rounded cheeks, and her short-bobbed hair is scalloped to show curls all the way around the dish. The dish is slotted for a spoon. The cover of the jar is a flat beret-style hat in sunny yellow, with a green knob handle and the word “Relish” painted across the front of the cover.
This fun little jar is 2-1/8 inches tall without the cover and a little over 3-inches to the top of the green knob handle with the cover. The oval-shaped jar is 5-inches by 4-1/2 inches, and the opening is 4-inches by 3-1/2 with a slot for the spoon.
Made by Napco during the 1950s to early 1960s, it is stamped "K2595" in black.
There are craze lines with minor discoloration, but there are no chips or cracks.
