This Hall Royal Rose 8-1/2 inch Mixing Bowl in the beautiful Cadet Blue color is the largest of the set of three nesting bowls made in this pattern. Royal Rose has the Cadet Blue, a solid, medium blue shade, on the outside with a narrow platinum band around the top of the banded rim. The interior is white with a pink wild rose spray on a bed of green leaves tipped with pale blue. These roses are at each of the four compass points around the interior rim. Similar to the Rose Parade pattern, these roses are considerably larger than those on the white handled pieces of Rose Parade. The two patterns blend well together.
This large Mixing Bowl was numbered 1378, and measures 8-1/2 inches in diameter and 4-1/2 inches tall .
Made by Hall China around the 1940's, the bowl is stamped in gold with the rectangular Hall back stamp that reads "Hall's Superior Quality Kitchenware, Made in U.S.A." This kitchenware line was "Guaranteed against breakage in oven heat," and received the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.
There are wear marks, especially in the bottom, from normal use. There are also a few scratches on the outside that do not mar the beauty of the blue. There are no chips or cracks in this lovely bowl.
