Offered for your consideration is this Chintz Royal Brocade pattern dish by Lord Nelson Ware, England. Royal Brocade is an all-over pattern of cream-colored flowers with blue centers on a burgundy red background. This chintz motif decorates the interior of this dish. The rim is embossed and scalloped on the long sides, and the outer edge of the rim is trimmed with gold.
This small oblong bowl measures 5-inches long by 4-3/4 inches wide and 1-1/2 inches deep.
This bowl was made by Lord Nelson Ware, England circa 1930 to 1947, possibly into the 1950s. The backstamp is in black under the glaze "BCM/Nelson Ware made in England." A Gold Circle around "Lord Nelson Ware Made In England Royal Brocade" is stamped over the BCM mark. There is also a hand painted red "4"
As in most vintage pieces, there are normal, small surface scratches that do not interfere with the beauty of this piece. There are no other condition issues.
