Hazel Atlas produced this distinctive Moroccan Amethyst color, offered here in the Octagonal Dinner Plate, during the 1960s. Each of these eight-sided plates has no other decoration than the rich purple color of Moroccan Amethyst and the circular inner rim. These plates were made with and without the raised ridge about 3/8-inch inside the rim. These all have the raised ridge.
Each dinner plate measures 9-1/2 inches across, 10-inches corner to corner.
Hazel-Atlas had become Hazel Ware after being acquired by Continental Can in 1957 and produced many shapes in Moroccan Amethyst during the 1960s. There is no mark.
As though they were rarely used, there are only minimal surface scratches. One plate has a small bit of mold seam roughness, and one has an almost imperceptible nick on the inner rim. These two will be the last sold. Shipping can be combined for multiple items.
