Hazel Atlas produced this distinctive Moroccan Amethyst color, here in an Octagonal Dinner Plate, during the 1960s. Each of these eight-sided plates have no other decoration than the rich purple color of Moroccan Amethyst and the circular inner rim.
Each dinner plate measures 9-1/2 inches across, 10-inches corner to corner.
Hazel-Atlas had become Hazel Ware after being acquired by Continental Can in 1957 and produced many shapes in Moroccan Amethyst during the 1960s. There is no mark.
As though they were rarely used, there are only minimal surface scratches. One plate has an almost imperceptible nick on the inner rim and will be the last sold.
