The unmistakable Homer Laughlin Eggshell Georgian shape couldn't be prettier than when decorated with the sweet Greenbriar pattern on this 13-inch platter! Greenbriar features a pretty vine of raspberries with green and gray leaves trailing around the embossed rim. There are pink flowers on the vine, and the gray and pink berries are just beginning to ripen. The embossed handles and the rim are trimmed with just the right touch of elegant gold.
This Greenbriar platter measures 13-1/4 inches by 10-5/8 inches, the perfect size for serving a family meal.
It is marked with "Georgian" in a cartouche, with "Eggshell" above, and followed by "Homer Laughlin made in U.S.A. ' L 51 N 6.'" This mark indicates that this piece was made by Homer Laughlin circa 1951.
There are a few expected surface scratches consistent with age, and a 1/8-inch dark mark in the white portion of the platter. There are no chips or cracks.
