This Elegant Glass bread and butter plate with the Royal etch is by Fostoria in their lovely amber color. The Royal Etch #273 forms a band of stylized flowers and leaves on a stippled crosshatch background around the rim. One of the flowers is the design is a trumpet shape with six surrounding petals or sepals, while another is banded at the base creating a tropical crown-like effect. The plate has a paneled optic, and the rim curves up slightly.
This pretty glass plate measures 6-1/4 inches in diameter and 5/8 inches tall. It is not marked.
The Royal etch was made by Fostoria from 1928 to 1933. There are small vertical scrapes at about a dozen places around the inner rim, undoubtedly caused by something being stacked on top of it. You can see some of these in the photos as dark spots. There are no chips or cracks.
This is a lovely elegant depression era plate at an affordable price!
