This pretty Canterbury Elegant Glass Crystal 7-3/4 inch Salad Plate was made by Duncan & Miller. The pattern is Canterbury No. 115 and is identifiable by the ground and polished six-lobed foot of the plate that echoes the plate's rim shape of a six-petaled flower.
This vintage glass plate measures 7-3/4 inches in diameter.
This pattern was introduced by Duncan and Miller in 1937 and continued to be made into the 1950s. It is not marked.
There are surface scratches, and one of these is darkened, but can't be felt. There is also some iridescence when held in the right light, as though it may have been washed in the dishwasher. There is no cloudiness, nor any chips or cracks. This is a pretty piece of vintage glass at an affordable price.
