Fall in love with beautiful Floral Poinsettia Green Depression Glass in this sherbet by Jeannette. The Floral pattern has long had the nickname "Poinsettia" for its resemblance to that flower. The mold is an all over pattern of star-shaped flowers with pointed petals and long, pointed leaves.
This sweet glass sherbet measures 2-3/4 inches tall and 3-1/2 inches in diameter at the rim. The short stem is perched on a 2-1/2 inch foot. There is no mark.
Depression Glass was inexpensively produced. Made by Jeannette between 1931 and 1935, this sherbet has the normal imperfections typical of Depression Glass. There are two 1/8-inch comma-shaped scratches at the top edge, one of which is deep enough to catch your fingernail, but it is not sharp. There are bubbles in the glass, including an extra "bump" of glass along the top edge and slight mold seam roughness typical in depression glass.
