This Weil Ware "Brentwood" Covered Sugar in Celadon green was made sometime between 1946 and 1954 when the manufacture of Weil Ware ended with the death of Max Weil. The Brentwood pattern features hand-decorated, raised, white dogwood flowers with pink centers on deep brown branches with green leaves. Matching branches without flowers decorate the opposite side of this bowl. The soft and pretty Celadon green background is slightly deeper than the pictures show.
This California pottery sugar bowl measures 5 inches in diameter at its widest, the handles add another 2 inches. It is 2 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches with the lid. There is no mark on the sugar, however the matching vegetable bowls carry the Weil Ware Burro Logo.
There are some minor brown spots of discoloration inside the rim of the bowl and the cover, but no other condition issues.
