Welcome spring with this delightful round platter from Cronin for Pottery Guild of America! This tab handled round platter with concentric embossed rings was made by Cronin China between 1937 and 1946 when the Pottery Guild sales organization was in operation. The pattern, "Romance," consists of a large floral center of a rose and a tulip, both in deep pink, two 5-petaled medium blue flowers accented with yellow buttercups and golden wheat stalks, and finished with a green band around a rim of concentric rings. Cronin's Rosemarie pattern used the same floral decal with a fluted edge. Also called a two-handled chop plate, this white semiporcelain platter measures 11 1/2 inches in diameter, 12 inches with the handles. There is no mark. It is in very good condition with only the expected surface scratches. Thank you for stopping by. Please visit MaggieBelle's Memories often!
