The translucent, creamy white porcelain of this Belleek Irish Porcelain Lily Creamer and Sugar has a textured design of the upturned petals of a water lily. The open sugar bowl is circled with three rows of textured petals and a scalloped rim. The matching creamer, which fits neatly inside the sugar, has two rows of overlapping petals around the bottom with varied vertical ribs to the top. The handle is textured to resemble a stem. The handle and interiors are finished in a very pale yellow luster.
The dainty cream pitcher is 3-1/2 inches tall and 2-5/8 inches in diameter at its widest. It is 3-1/2 inches across the handle and spout and stands on a 2-inch diameter foot. The matching open sugar is 2-inches tall by 3-inches in diameter across the rim and 3-1/2 inches at its widest. The opening is 3-inches in diameter and it has a 2-1/2 inch diameter foot.
Both pieces are stamped with Belleek's 6th mark, a green mark with the traditional Belleek logo of a Wolfhound, Harp, and a Round Tower in the background above a banner with the word "Belleek.” ® is above the harp. A ribbon banner below bears the Country name “Ireland.” A circle with a Celtic knot is added below with the Gaelic words "deanta in éireann" meaning “Made in Ireland." This mark was used by Belleek between 1965 and 1980.
There are no condition issues. The sticker residue on the side of the creamer and on the bottom of the sugar bowl have been removed.
