Here is the hard to find Country Club By Yona for Shafford Red and White Striped Cooler Beverage Dispenser. The bright red and white stripes set a playful picnic atmosphere and will be great at your next party! The red stripes fluctuate with the shape of the piece and average about 3/4-inches in width. The word “Cooler” is written in black script, with a black ribbon flourish above and below setting the label out from the piece. The pouring spigot is attached at the lower front. Imagine your next backyard barbecue with this eye-popping beverage dispenser!
This balloon-shaped cooler measures about 7-inches in diameter at its widest. It is 9-1/2 inches tall, 10-inches with the knob on the cover. It sits solidly on a 4-1/2 inch diameter foot. The opening is 4-inches in diameter.
It is stamped in black “Country Club by Yona 8758Y.” Country Club was designed by Yona Ceramics for Shafford, Japan during the 1950s.
These Country Club items are vintage pieces and may have minor flaws such as tiny edge nicks and non-discolored crazing. The circus-like colors are bright with minimal wear. There are a handful of tiny edge nicks on the top rim, another on the cover where it is hidden, and another on the foot. There is also a manufacturing defect of an indentation at the edge of the foot under the red stripe. The most noticeable flaw is a 1-inch scratch in the red paint on the side to the right of the label. There is non-discolored crazing that is not highly noticeable. There are no other obvious condition issues. To preserve the bright colors, wash by hand before use.
