This large Mid Century West Virginia Glass Martini Pitcher has a lavish design of gold crackles and circles and comes with six matching highball tumblers. The gold circle motif is crackled with a hint of green giving the glass an old look. The wide band at the bottom of each tumbler has six portholes, with a band of smaller circles top and bottom. Another band of small circles rings the top near the rim. The matching pitcher has the same design, but with a frame-like band of circles that does not include the back where the handle is. The handle is designed to be open at the top and does not connect to the pitcher there.
The oversize pitcher is 11-1/4 inches tall and 4-3/8 inches in diameter. The handle adds another 2 inches to the diameter. Each tumbler is 5-5/8 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches in diameter. There are no marks.
This bar set dates to the 1950s or 1960s.
There are places where the gold is worn and/or unevenly applied. One tumbler has a straw mark near the bottom. The handle of the pitcher feels a little rough at the top where it does not join the pitcher. I believe this was done in the manufacture and is not a chip. There is no other damage.
