This pair of Georges Briard glass square coasters are in the Forbidden Fruit Border pattern. This is an all over pattern that is called Forbidden Fruit Border because it is used as the border alone on the Forbidden Fruit pattern. The pattern consists of alternating gold circles of stylized designs of sunbursts, leaves, and diamonds. The Georges Briard signature is incorporated into the design along the edge. The frosted back has a textured glittery application.

These square glass coasters each measure 3-3/4inches on each side and 5-3/8 inches across the diagonal. The sides of each dish curve slightly upward.

Signed Georges Briard, this Mid Century pattern was popular during the 1950s to the 1970s.

There is some minor wear on the gold along the edge, and there is a barely noticeable, smooth, nail-catching nick along the inner edge of one coaster. Offered as a set of two, you will receive both coasters. A fun gift for the happy couple at a vintage wedding!
