This vintage green glass shaker made by Hazel Atlas is made in a beveled block design and has its original aluminum top. The blocks form an overall eight sided scalloped shape to the shaker. Though it is similar to the clear shaker #30 in a 1957 advertisement pictured in Gene and Cathy Florence's "Glass Kitchen Shakers, 1930s-1950s," the shade of green would indicate that this shaker dates to the earlier period of production between 1930 and the 1950s. It does fluoresce under black light.
This glass shaker measures 3-1/4 inches tall and 1-5/8 inches in diameter. It is marked with the embossed H over A Hazel Atlas mark and "3-491."
There is some white fogginess inside the glass, and there are some minor dents in the aluminum top. There are no chips or cracks.
