Here is a pink glass One Handled Spade-Shaped Nappy in the Leaf Rays pattern by Dugan Diamond. This pretty little bowl is aptly named for its stippled leaves that radiate in a circular pattern from the ten-petaled flower in the center bottom. The rim of the dish is subtly rippled to form a tri-corner effect. An applied handle completes this pretty pink glass dish. Most often found in carnival glass, this one is in clear pink. Commonly called a nappy, this little bowl is perfect for sauces, candies, or other small treats!
This nappy measures 6-1/4 inches from handle to tip, 5-1/4 inches at its widest, and 2-inches deep.
The pattern was developed by Dugan and the company changed its name to Diamond in 1913. This pink color was used circa the 1920s. Diamond glass burned in 1931 and did not reopen. There is no mark.
