I'm excited to offer this set of three of the very hard to find 22Karat Gold Curtain Tassel and Rope Design Mid Century Highball Tumblers designed by Fred Press! The design in 22Karat gold over frosted white is dominated by the 3-1/2 inch tassels hanging down from gold rope curtain rings in four places around each tumbler. Each tassel hangs from a softly draped curtain swag beneath a border of gold rope trim at the top.
Each tumbler measures 5-5/8 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches in diameter.
Made by Fred Press sometime in the 1950s or 1960s, each is signed in gold "©Fred Press," though the signatures are worn.
Each shows wear on the gold consistent with use. The most significant wear is in the rope design around the top and on two of the signatures. There is a factory flaw of an extra 1/4-inch line of glass on the inside of one tumbler. Two of the tumblers have a small amount of fogginess on the narrow rim above the gold and near the bottom of the inside. This may wash off, but it may have been caused by a dishwasher. Despite the wear, these are still lovely and will make a nice addition to your collection. There are no chips or cracks in any of the three.
Given the difficulty of finding these glasses, and the high prices this pattern usually sells for, these are priced significantly lower due to the imperfections. Priced as a set, you will receive all three tumblers.
