Enjoy your tea with this sweet Royal Albert Bone China White Dogwood Three-piece Set, including a Bread and Butter Plate, Teacup, and Saucer. Branches of white dogwood flowers on deep green leaves and dark brown stems encircle one half of the plate rim, most of the rim of the saucer, and the front of the teacup. A smaller spray of matching four-petaled flowers is depicted opposite the large display on both the plate and the saucer, as well as the back and inside of the cup. The lifelike dogwood branches are accented with touches of yellow in the background, and the scalloped rims of all three pieces are decorated with brushed gold. The foot and handle of the cup are also gold-trimmed.
The Countess-shaped teacup is 3-3/8 inches in diameter, 4-1/4 with the handle, and 2-3/4 inches tall. The saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter, and the plate is 6-1/4 inches in diameter.
The Dogwood motif is echoed in color in the mark on all three pieces with a banner across the small spray that reads "White Dogwood" followed by "Royal Albert Bone China England." This mark was used by Royal Albert Bone China during the 1940s.
These are vintage pieces and may show minor surface scratches. The tip of the leaf on the front of the teacup carries over onto the handle. Any wear on the gold is minimal, and there are no other condition issues.
