This gorgeous Hall China Airflow teapot is decorated with gold roses on a background of stunning cobalt blue. The Airflow design is a ball shape, slightly tilted back on its axis, with an exaggerated looping handle. On this one the solid, glossy cobalt blue surface is decorated in 22K gold with a rose on each side and matching gold 7-leaflet sprays encircling the rim. There are two matching leaf designs on the lid on opposite sides of the elongated finial. The finial and rim of the cover, as well as the handle and foot are all trimmed with gold. (The green seen in the gold is an unfortunate reflection of my green shirt!)
The ball shape is approximately 6-inches in diameter, and the entire teapot measures nearly 10-inches across the handle and spout. The foot is 3-1/2 inches in diameter, and it is about 7-inches tall.
It is marked with a circle with the word "Hall" enclosed and "Made in U.S.A." below. Also, in gold, "Hall 0443, 6 Cup, Made In U.S.A. 6." The Airflow teapot was introduced by Hall in the 1940s, and this mark was used up to 1970.
There is only minor wear on the gold, and otherwise no damage to this gorgeous teapot.
