This is "Anne" of the Royal Albert Sweetheart Roses Series of Six Teacup and Saucer sets. A pretty bicolor hybrid tea rose in peachy yellow with pink edges on the petals decorates the front of the Hampton shape cup. The glowing flower is accented with green leaves and matching buds with a matching, smaller version on the back of the cup. The gently scalloped rims of both the teacup and the saucer are edged with gold. The foot and the handle of the cup are also gold trimmed. The saucer has two matching rose sprays, one larger than the other, on the left and right.
The teacup measures 3-inches in diameter and 2-3/4 inches tall, 3-inches to the top of the handle. The scalloped saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter.
Both pieces are marked with the Pink underglaze Royal Albert Bone China Crown mark. The words “Royal Albert Bone China England Series of Six” are below the crown. Sweetheart Rose is written in green and arches over the crown, with “Anne” in green at the bottom of the mark. The Sweetheart Roses Series was made by Royal Albert China from the 1950s to the 1970s.
There is a pinpoint sized rough spot at the top of the handle marked with a black dot. Other than minor wear on the gold rim consistent with age, and expected shelf wear on the underside of the foot, there are no other condition issues.
