A trio of jaunty pink daffodils decorates the left side of this vintage American two-handled serving plate. Each large pink blossom is tipped with yellow and narrow yellow-green leaves accent the group. A medium green band rings the two-handled platter.
This unmarked serving plate measures 10-5/8 inches in diameter, 11-3/8 inches across the handles. The handles are each 3-inches across.
There is no mark, but the style indicates this platter was made circa the 1940s.
There are three small edge chips on the back of the handles. Two of these are on one handle and the third is on the other handle. The largest of these is 1/8-inch. None of the chips show from the front. There is a bit of wear in the design, and the usual surface scratches from normal use are also present.
This plate was probably made by one of the Ohio River Potteries, likely Royal China or Sebring. I'm so happy you stopped in to Maggie Belle's Memories! Please "Like" us on Facebook for updates and fun information!
