Here is a pretty set of four Florentine Number 2, known as Poppy, yellow Depression Glass 5-inch Footed Tumblers by Hazel-Atlas. The pattern is an all-over swirling poppy motif molded into the glass. Hazel-Atlas' two Florentine, or Poppy, patterns are easily confused. Florentine Number 2 is characterized by round pieces, rather than the angled pieces of Florentine Number 1. The two patterns differ mainly in the shapes and blend very nicely together. The smooth, circular foot on these 9-ounce tumblers identifies them as Florentine Two.
Each tumbler measures 5-inches tall and 4-1/2 inches deep. Each is 3-1/4 inches in diameter at the rim and stands on a 2-1/4 inch diameter foot
This pattern was made by Hazel-Atlas from 1932 to 1935. There is no mark.
There are no chips or cracks in any of these tumblers. There may be expected minor surface scratches, but other than the expected flaws characteristic of Depression Era Glass, such as slight mold seam roughness or bubbles, there is no damage.
The price includes all four tumblers.
