This Yellow Depression glass Divided Relish is Number 612 by Indiana Glass and nicknamed Horseshoe for its arching scroll design, loosely resembling a horseshoe shape, molded into the glass. An all-over floral motif enhances the beauty of the pattern making it a long-time favorite. This divided relish has three sections, each with two arches with flowers in between each horseshoe. A smaller medallion is toward the center of the bowl in each section, and a tiny flower decorates each closed handle.
This pretty divided bowl measures 7-1/2 inches in diameter and 8-1/2 inches across the handles. It stands 1-3/4 inches high on three 1/2-inch tall feet.
Made by Indiana Glass between 1930 and 1933, there is no mark.
The bowl has some inner rim roughness. This is common in Depression Glass and is most often caused by stacking. Other than the expected flaws characteristic of Depression Era Glass, such as bubbles, mold seam roughness, or other irregularities, there is no other damage.
