Enjoy your tea in luxury with this Fruits #5057C Bone China Teacup coated in Heavy Gold by Rosina China! Pictures do not do this highly reflective set justice! The inside of the cup and the face of the saucer are covered with a beautifully detailed depiction of fruits, including a trio of plums, two in ripe purple and a third tucked behind that’s still green. A bunch of green grapes, red raspberries, and purple-pink currants circle the plums. The fruit is accented with lifelike greenery, brown stems, and a couple of spent leaves. The outside of the cup is lavishly drenched in smooth, highly reflective gold. The handle of the cup is gilded, and the scalloped rims of both pieces are also trimmed in gold.

This magnificent teacup measures 2-1/4 inches tall and just under 4-inches in diameter across the fluted and scalloped rim, with another inch for the high angled handle. It stands on a 1-3/4 inch diameter foot. The matching saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter.

Made by Rosina China between 1952 and 1970, it is stamped with the green and pink Crown and Rose backstamp with brown lettering that reads ”Made in England" arched above the crown. “Bone China” flanks the crown and "Rosina" is printed beneath the pink rose. The pattern number 5057C is written by hand on the cup. There is an artist’s mark on the saucer.

There are a couple of manufacturing flaws in the form of a pinhead-sized porcelain bump in the bottom of the teacup, and a tiny pinpoint pit on the outside front when the handle is on the left. There are some negligible surface scratches on the shiny gold exterior that can be seen when examined under a magnifying glass. These do not go through the gold. There are also a couple of creases in the transfer work of one of the plums and normal utensil marks on the saucer, but these do not detract from the design. None of these flaws interfere with the beauty of this opulent vintage set. There are no other condition issues.
