This romantic Teapot by Sadler England is adorned with scattered Rosebuds on a Gold Lattice design and numbered #3692. Pink rosebuds with green leaves are scattered over the swirled, creamy white teapot at intersections of the gold lattice design. The gold Xs are absent on the cover, but matching rosebuds dot the cover of the teapot in four places. The handle, spout, foot, and the sweet finial are all trimmed in gold. The inside of the pot has strainer holes leading into the pouring spout. The lid fits into the top with its unique flat-sided shape and is held in place with a small hook. The cover also has a hole for venting.
This lovely English teapot measure 5-inches tall, 6-7/8 with the cover and finial, and 5-3/4 inches in diameter, 9-inches across the spout and handle.
The embossed mark reads "Sadler England" and the pattern number “3692” is handwritten in gold. This embossed mark alone was used by Sadler circa 1937 into the 1950s.
There is a 1/4-inch shallow chip on the underside of the foot that does not impact stability, and a smaller one on the underside of the cover that of course, is hidden inside. There is a circular spot of discolorating on the outside of the bottom. This does not go through to the inside. Aside from expected shelf wear on the foot, There are no other condition issues.
