Here is the lovely Royal Standard Bone China #1445 Paisley Chintz Teacup and Saucer in Rust Brown. The all-over rust colored paisley chintz motif is an elaborate design of leaves, flowers, and paisley scrolls in shades ranging from rust to russet to golden yellow, with a touch of deep brown for a dramatic accent. The rim of the fluted cup, the high, curled handle, and the scalloped rims of both the cup and the saucer are gold trimmed. The base of the cup is delineated with a narrow gold band, and the scalloped foot is trimmed with gold.
Of the two sets available, each dainty cup is 3-inches tall, 3-3/8 at the top of the handle. It is 3-3/8 inches in diameter at the fluted rim and rests on a 1-7/8 inch diameter scalloped foot. One matching saucer is 5-5/8 inch diameter, the other is slightly larger at 5-7/8 inches in diameter.
The underglaze back stamp is a green crown followed by the words "Royal Standard Fine Bone China England.” The pattern number, 1445, is also on the foot of each cup in black. This mark was used by Royal Standard from 1949 to 1966 before the company became part of Royal Doulton in 1969.
Other than normal, small surface scratches that virtually disappear in this ornate design, and very minor wear on the gold, there are no condition issues.
