These beautiful hand painted gold filigree and floral C. Tielsch #20211 dinner plates from Silesia, Germany, lend just the right touch of elegance to your dinner table! The pattern consists of a ring of vivid multicolored flowers in blues and oranges sandwiched between intricate gold filigree bands on the outer edge of the wide rim and repeated on the inner border. Matching floral sprigs dot the plate in five places around a slightly larger bouquet marking the center.
Each fine porcelain plate measures 9-5/8 inches in diameter and has a slight depth lifting the wide rim about 1-inch high.
The mark was used by C. Tielsch, Altwasser, Silesia, Germany between 1875 and c. 1934. The style indicates that these lovely dinner plates likely were made between 1910 and 1934.
Each plate is well-marked. One plate has a green underglaze "C.T. Germany" below an Eagle, while the other three have the same mark in blue underglaze, with "Germany" in larger block letters. Each has the pattern number 20211 hand painted in red along with other markings over the glaze.
The gold is somewhat worn on each plate, and the underside of the foot shows normal shelf wear. Priced as a set, you will receive all four plates.
