I'm so happy to be able to offer you this set of four Ultramarine Swirl Depression Glass Dinner Plates by Jeannette Glass! Also known as “Petal Swirl,” Swirl is a pretty depression glass pattern of wide panels that form a ruffled edge and swirl toward the right as you look down at these plates. The back of the plate has a series of concentric rings that make a pretty pattern to show through on the front. The real beauty, though, is the gorgeous teal color called Ultramarine.
Each glass dinner plate measures 9-1/8 inches in diameter.
Made by Jeannette for only two years, 1937 and 1938, there is no mark.
One plate has a tiny 1-mm nick along the back edge that almost looks like a popped bubble. As is common in vintage glassware, there are expected minor surface scratches, but other than the expected flaws characteristic of Depression Era Glass, such as bubbles or other irregularities, there is no damage.
These will be stunning on your summer table!
