Offered here is this pair of gorgeous Emerald Green Elegant Glass Candle Holders by the Cambridge Glass Company founded in Ohio. Produced just prior to and at the beginning of the Depression Era, these pretty candlesticks rise from a decagon-shaped foot on a stem with a knob in the center. The candle cup is topped with a matching, smaller decagon rim with a slight downward slope. Numbered 878, this blank was used for several different Cambridge Etchings, but this set is in undecorated glass showcasing the clear Emerald Green color.
Each candle holder measures 3-1/2 inches tall on a 5-inch diameter base. The top is just under 3-1/2 inches in diameter and slopes downward slightly.
Made by Cambridge between 1928 and 1930, there is no mark.
Other than the expected flaws characteristic of Depression Era Glass, such as bubbles, minor mold seam roughness, or other irregularities in the glass, there is no damage. Some minor wax and other residues will require gentle cleaning, and there are no chips or cracks.
In the clear Emerald Green of Cambridge Elegant Glass, these candle holders will add grace and style to any table decor, and would be beautiful for an outdoor wedding!
