This darling little Napco April Birthday angel holds a basket of pastel-colored Easter eggs in front of her with a cute little bunny at her side. One of the most striking features is her golden halo set off by her gold-lined hair. The bow on the front of her gown is also gold-lined, and there are additional gold speckles on her bodice and skirt with a hint of pink at the hem. The gold-tipped spaghetti trim around her cuffs and hem is particularly endearing. She has a pair of gold trimmed wings applied to the back, and rosy painted lips and cheeks, with dark painted lashes on her blue eyes. An applied pink, porcelain rose rests on the top of her head.
The base measures approximately 2-1/2 inches wide by 2-inches front to back and she is 4-1/2 inches tall.
Issued circa the 1950s, the bottom is stamped S1364, though the S is very faint, and the Napco foil silver label is intact.
One flower petal has broken off the back of the rose on the top of her head. There is all over crazing consistent with age, but little discoloration. There is minimal paint loss to the eggs in her basket. Typically spaghetti hair is damaged, as it is here, with the most damage at the hem of her gown and the cuff of her right sleeve, but there is enough intact to still be charming. The nooks and crannies will require more careful cleaning. I will leave that to you so that I don’t cause further damage to the delicate spaghetti.
