This gorgeous Elegant Glass Amber Tall Sherbet is Cambridge #3126. The bowl of the sherbet has ten amber panels that make the light bounce and reflect off the flared rim. The real beauty of Cambridge #3126, though, is in the elaborate crystal stem. An elegant pillar, its detailed rippled and curled three lobes at the base and at the top of the stem resemble the ostrich plumes of a ladies’ hat and feels oh-so-elegant in your hand.
This stunning sherbet measures 6-1/2 inches tall, and the stem alone is approximately 3-1/2 inches tall. It is 4-1/8 inches in diameter at the rim, with a 3-inch diameter foot. There is no mark.
This pattern was made by Cambridge Glass of Ohio from 1931 to 1959 when the factory closed.
There is the tiniest rough feel to one of the seams of the stem, but I can’t see it even with a magnifying glass. There is an occasional small bubble in the glass, typical of vintage glassware, and there are a couple of minor surface scratches, but none of these detract from this gorgeous goblet.
