From the pastoral Random Harvest Series here is the Kent Teacup and Saucer by Royal Albert Bone China. The corset-shaped teacup and matching saucer feature a design of clusters of ripening deep purple grapes on vines with trailing leaves in varying shades of green. The grapevines are interspersed with curling tendrils in lighter purples. The grapevine motif is repeated on the inside top of the teacup. Both pieces are scalloped and have repeating fan-shaped embossing. The embossed shapes circle the base of the cup and the cup well of the saucer. The rims are trimmed with gold, as is the handle of the cup, and there is a double band of gold around the foot.
The dainty teacup is 3-inches tall, the handle rises just above the rim. It is 3-5/8 inches in diameter across the top with another inch for the handle, and tapers down to stand on a 1-3/4 inch foot. The matching saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter.
Both pieces are stamped "Royal Albert, Bone China, England" in deep pink, topped by a miniature of the grapevine motif followed by “Random Harvest Series ‘Kent’ “ in green. This series was issued by Royal Albert China from 1966 to the 1980s.
Other than minor wear on the gold rim consistent with use, there are no condition issues. The white spots in the picture of the saucer are reflection.
