Introduced for the month of March in the Flower of the Month Series, here is the Daffodil Teacup and Saucer by Royal Albert Bone China. Bunches of large, yellow daffodil blossoms accented with red-orange enamel stamens and slender, pale green leaves are on both the front and back of the Hampton shape cup. The gently scalloped rims of both the teacup and the saucer are edged with gold. The inside rim of the cup and foot are ringed with gold, and the handle is also gold trimmed. The saucer has two matching daffodil bunches, one larger than the other and covering much of the saucer. The scalloped rim of the saucer is also trimmed in gold.
The teacup measures 3-inches in diameter and 2-3/4 inches tall, 3-inches to the top of the handle. The scalloped saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter.
Both pieces are stamped with the black crown followed by the words "Royal Albert Bone China England, Flower of the Month Series, Set of Twelve, ‘Daffodil’ No. 3. Hand Painted.” This series was issued by Royal Albert China during the 1950s into the 1960s.
The white patch in the photos on the left side of the saucer is sticker residue and has been removed. Other than minor wear on the gold rim and handle consistent with use, there are no condition issues.
