This sweet vintage red chintz two-section Tidbit Dish by Moriyama of Morimachi, Japan, will be a romantic addition to any decor. Sprays of orange-red roses accented with green leaves are scattered all over the surface of this pretty dish. Smaller matching rosebuds and pale yellow rose hips are seemingly interspersed at random among the larger sprays.
This divided dish measures 1-1/4 inches deep and 8-3/4 inches long by 5-1/4 inches wide. Each section is 3-1/2 inches across.
This pattern was made by Moriyama circa the 1920s to 1930s.
It is marked with a green Cartouche with MM in a black diamond shape in the center. "Made in Japan" is stamped below the cartouche.
The gold trim is well worn, and there is shelf wear on the foot, but there are no other condition issues on this sweet vintage piece.
