Offered for your consideration is this Chintz Salt and Pepper with Tray in the Marina pattern by Lord Nelson Ware, England. Marina, #3346, is a pretty chintz pattern that features dusty pink flowers accented with blossoms of orange, yellow, and blue. The flowers are backed by soft green leaves on black stems and all-over subtle gray foliage in the background. The tray is slightly scalloped with raised handles and gold edging with two hexagon-shaped indentations for the matching shakers. Rounded at the top, the salt shaker has seven holes while the pepper has only one. The shakers have cork stoppers with metal screw-like plugs.
This dainty little tray measures 6-1/4 inches by 2-1/2 inches and 3/4-inch tall at the handles. Each shaker is 2-3/4 inches tall, 1-3/4 inches across the hexagonal shaped base.
Made by Lord Nelson, England around the 1950s, the tray is marked in gold with a circular "Lord Nelson Ware Made in England" and the pattern name "Marina." It is also stamped in black with "BCM/Nelson Ware, Made in England." Each shaker is stamped "England" in a circle with a hand painted pink number. These marks are partially hidden under the screw-in stoppers.
There is the tiniest little nick on the underside of one shaker. This does not show from the top and does not impact stability. Other than non-discolored crazing which is only seen on the underside, there are no other condition issues.
