Offered here are four Federal Madrid Amber Depression Glass Cup and Saucer Sets. An all over scrolling pattern with drapes of beads moulded into the glass make the Madrid pattern a recognizable favorite. These are the harder-to-find saucers with a cup ring. The scrolling pattern is on the rim of each saucer, with only the drapes of beads on the main part of the saucer.
Each cup is 3-3/4 inches in diameter and 2-3/8 inches tall. The matching saucer in each set measures 6-1/8 inches across the diagonal and 5-7/8 inches side to side.
Made by Federal Glass from 1932 to 1939, there is no mark.
There is no damage to any of the cups, but each of the saucers has a tiny fingernail-catching nick on the inner rim, and one saucer has a 3/8-inch long, smooth indentation that appears to have been done in the manufacturing process.
