These gorgeous circa 1920s Rose and Daisy salt and pepper shakers have an All Over Gold (AOG) encrusted etch that dates to a bygone era of conspicuous extravagance. The fancy etch of roses and daisies was used as early as 1911 and remained popular into the 1920s. The urn-shaped salt shaker has six holes while the pepper shaker has four.
Each gold encrusted shaker measures 4-3/8 inches tall and 1-1/2 inches in diameter.
Each is marked only with a hand painted 204 in gold on the bottom. This design is a well-known Pickard pattern, but the fact that there is no Pickard mark means that these shakers are possibly the work of a Pickard artist while working at another studio.
Each shaker is in very good condition, the gold is in good shape.
